What Is A Webinar?

Webinar is short for Web-based seminar. A webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the
Web. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information.

A Webcast is one-way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.

We use Cisco’s Webex to create live interactive learning experiences so the participants can see the instructor, ask questions
and get answers in real time.

Participants will receive course materials by e-mail prior to the seminar and will be able to view the instructor's PowerPoint
slides during the seminar.

How Does It Work?

Using real-time desktop learning with phone conferencing, everyone sees & hears the same thing.

You will receive an e-mail inviting you to the presentation.

You do not have to subscribe to WebEx. You simply click a link in your invitation to join online, where you’ll get visual prompts
to join the phone conference.

Why Do This Type Of Presentation?
These types of online courses have a much higher impact than simply reading material on the web.

Webinars offer exceptional convenience and are very cost-effective. They are ideal for brown-bag lunch training because NO
travel is required.

About This Presentation:
This presentation explores one of the least discussed areas of drug education-what are
the most pressing drug and alcohol challenges that confront high school seniors and
college freshmen, and how can we equip them with the information they need to
succeed? Over more than a decade of working with exiting seniors, we've realized they
are seriously ill-prepared to deal with the drug and alcohol challenges they will face
during the summer before college and the first year of college.
Section One deals with
the emotional hurdles and transitional events most seniors and incoming freshmen
aren't even aware await them;
Section Two discusses how alcohol will seriously impact
their lives, even if they don't drink; and
Section Three addresses the rest of the drug
spectrum they need to deal with as newly minted adults. For a detailed list of the major
issues addressed in each section please email us:

and being revised for the next school year.
